Paterson Calls Eruv Issue a Civil Rights Struggle

David A. Paterson -- in his first visit to a synagogue since becoming New York's governor -- told a crowd of about 1,000 people at the Hampton Synagogue in Westhampton Beach Saturday that their efforts to put up an eruv in the community should be seen as a civil rights struggle.
